RedSapata Tanzfabrik / Sonnenstein Loft is looking for RESIDENCY ARTISTS for the period of August-December 2023 and the first half of 2024 (Jan-June).
The selected artists will be supported with studio space for a 1-2 week residency at the Sonnenstein Loft. The residency can be done all at once or spread over a period of approx. 2 months (separate agreement).
The residency is entirely focused on providing artists with a working space. The residency does not cover travel costs, per diem, artist's fee or any other technical budget. However, two of the selected residents will receive a residency fee of 1000€.
Resident artists will be invited to either present a work-in-progress studio show of their work or to perform a finished work at specific performance events. The possibility of a showing is voluntary.
The residency call is focused on the field of dance. Exceptions will be made for multidisciplinary projects involving the body as a medium.
