The Song of the Zone by 5 Edges and Hyoung Min Kim from South Korea

The Song of the Zone is a performance and artistic research project that investigates the body as a living organism with its own autonomous principles of existence. The work asks how the body's own internal mechanisms continue to sustain life independently of the external conditions and structures that shape and regulate it. Here, precarity becomes the very condition through which the body's autonomous capacities become perceptible, while vulnerability becomes the ground for sensing, adaptation, and response. The work explores the paradox that the body possesses an irreducible autonomy as a living organism even within such conditions. Through movement, sound, space, video, and light, The Song of the Zone seeks to create conditions in which this autonomous body can be seen and heard.
