Bubbles - an interdisciplinary dance and music performance in the style of a live silent film

The   dance and media production by Tanzkommune Linz plays with   questions about the "I", the "we" and the "others". With the  narrative performance, the dancers address the term "bubbles" and   the dynamics that arise in a social structure. You divide them into   groups, let them change, overlap, arise again   and finally dissolve them. Boundaries should be questioned and broken down  . What awaits us outside of the usual and what does it require of us and our counterpart?

As a  society mirror of the 1920s, parallels may not only be drawn   with regard to world health, but also to the  social and cultural revolution , which in particular embodies the history of the  Swing dance. 'Bubbles' seeks to reconcile these roots with  current trends: racial discrimination,  conformity, and gender stereotypes whose successive dissolution is being openness and cheerful nature of this scene - so   some of the complex impulses of this representation.

The goal   is to make the boundaries shake at the end of the performance – the   boundary between performers and audience disappears and the rest _cc781905-5cde-3194-bb3b-136_b5cf5 a togetherness, a symbiosis of dance and  lust for life.

Afterwards, everyone will dance together to live music by the band JazzDefense.  Swing, 30s/40s, Shuffle and Blues
