Portraits of Us is a multidisciplinary dance performance and installation that creates an immersive, gallery-like experience. The piece navigates the complex landscapes of mental health by embodying the physical and emotional struggles associated with these states of being. It has been a beautiful journey where personal stories, secrets, and life experiences have been transformed into choreographic and creative material. We approach the work from an almost therapeutic perspective, seeking authenticity, connection and dialog. The piece invites the audience to move beyond the casual "Hi, how are you?" and genuinely reflect on their own mental state "today." It offers a space for deeper self-exploration, dialogue, and writing.
