Über die Veranstaltung
How does a texture become movement?
Onomatopoeia WAVES is an ongoing artistic research project that explores the process through which perceived textures are translated into embodied expression.
During the residency, the project investigates how sensory experiences—through sight, sound, touch, smell, and taste—can be transformed into movement via drawing, writing, vocalization, and physical improvisation. Rather than searching for a single method of translation, the research embraces the diversity of individual perception and asks how language, memory, and cultural background shape the ways we sense and express the world. This work-in-progress sharing is not a presentation of a finished performance, but an invitation into an evolving research process. By sharing fragments of the creative journey, the project opens a dialogue with the audience and asks how a texture can become movement, and how movement, in turn, can become a shared language.
