Two characters on a raft in a journey of creating a dance for no-folk, shedding away the concepts of nationality that, in the context of the blood-soaked Mediterranean and the ongoing crises they come from, they see as utterly destructive. This leads them to face difficult questions about their identity as dancers, as women in the digital era, as human beings experiencing a deep rupture in their notions of home and belonging. Blending movement, text, video art and seawomanship, the work intertwines current impossible realities with a surreal, absurdist stage language, as the two drift at sea in search of hope in an unmoored world.

About the Artists:

Yael Sofer Samson (b. 1993) and Gal Zusmanovich (b. 1998) are two dance artists "After the Flood" is their first collaboration.
